ArtPrize at DeVos Place

DeVos Place is excited to have twenty seven artists currently in the running for the Public Vote. It’s not too late for you to stop by the DeVos Place and vote for your favorites before voting closes at midnight on Saturday, October 3.
Remember, these lists are dynamic and can change during the first round of voting. Twenty-five entries were named in four categories: two-dimensional work, three-dimensional work, installation and time-based work.
 
As a dynamic list, the Top 100 entries will change throughout the week as Round 1 voting continues. The public’s Top 20 will be announced Sunday, Oct. 4.

Saturday Night Atmosphere Party (live music): Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra Quartet

The ArtPrize festivities continue at The Harris Building on October 3 with a special quartet from the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra! Let’s swing! Music starts at 8pm, cover charge is $10 at the door.

Percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani was born and raised in Osaka-Japan. He currently resides in Easton, PA. He is a renowned recognized Percussionist/Drummer creating his own sound. Nakatani performs and tours all over the world for international Creative Music festivals and New Music festivals. He has taught master artist classes, workshops and given lectures, revolving around his unique sound, at a number of universities. His music has been published over sixty CD recordings in the USA and Europe. He has performed SOLO percussion for the majority of his musical career since the late 1990s at a countless number of venues of many sizes.
