What: Movemedia I

Grand Rapids Ballet’s Movemedia Series was created to transform the art of dance into a 21st century experience.

Dance and its usual visual elements of costumes, props and sets, would be merged with modern lighting and digital technology to enhance the body in space. Movemedia also has enhanced the company’s fortunes. In December, Grand Rapids Ballet was awarded $10,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to support the third season of its Movemedia Series.

When: 7:30 p.m. March 28-29, 2 p.m. March 30

Where: GRB’s Wege Theatre, 341 Ellsworth Ave. SW

Tickets: $25; Remaining tickets are $12 at the door for college students, one hour before the performance

Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned Stage Play

with Patrice Lovely from the hit tv sitcom “Love Thy Neighbor” and R & B Artist, Cheryl “Pepsii” Riley are coming to DeVos Place

Her friend Jasmine (Monica Blaire) searches online and gets her a date with a man named Randy (Muhammed Ayers). Jasmine later has second thoughts: Randy may not be all that he seems despite Anita’s interest.

“That’s where the heart of the story begins,” said Riley of the couple which inevitably clashes through numerous plot twists.

Among the other actors – Zebulon Ellis (who plays the Reverend) was a finalist on the BET network show “Sunday Best;” Candice Pyle portrays Anita’s sister Mona, and R&B singer Ray Lavendar also has a role.
