What is the point of making a film if no one sees it? Exactly! Which is why getting distribution is the filmmaking frosting on the cake.
WMFVA has assembled a diverse panel of filmmakers who all have one thing in common: Their projects got distribution. Come for a lively discussion of the ins and outs, ups and downs, and tips and tricks of getting your film distributed.
Our talented panelists include:
SAG actress Angela Peavey’s most recent film, “Our Beautiful Secret,” which she directed and executive produced, has received seven awards to date and has had sold-out U.S and International Premieres. This April will mark the film’s Canadian premiere.
Joseph Scott Anthony, is a central figure in the Michigan Film Industry. As both an actor and producer, 2013 saw Joseph involved in six feature films, and several other projects. His recent work includes acting in “The Monster” the #1 music video by Eminem, producing Saugatuck Cures, starring Max Adler of Glee, and acting along side Dean Cain of Lois and Clark. He has been a major force in film legislation, and continues to represent the Michigan Film Industry today.
Dan Falicki’s phenomenal work through his company Rotomation Pictures has been internationally distributed by http://sector5films.net/ Including his films “AEON: The Last Vampyre on Earth,” “All the Devil’s Aliens” (AKA Devils in the Darkness) and most recently “The Show Show”.
Chris Randall moved back to Michigan and began Fulvew Productions with Keith Golinski in 2001. Fulvew’s first feature film, “America’s Most Haunted,” currently has North American distribution through Echo Bridge Entertainment. It also has international distribution in the Philippines and is currently being shopped at the European Film Market in Berlin.
